The College Jazz Band has been busy these last few weeks. First up was the Deco Festival Launch where their performance was well received, and the boys have secured a playing spot for this coming Festival in Feb 21.

This past weekend saw the band travel down to Palmerston North to the Manawatu Jazz Festival. Eight high schools were present including Pukekohe from Auckland and Western Heights from Rotorua, in the Big Band Section. There were lots of positives from the two judges including the head of Music from the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington, Dr Dave Wilson. The boys were then lucky enough to have a Jazz concert with Mr Roger Fox’s team. A fantastic experience for them.
