SWIMMING

Five of our elite swimmers attended National Sec. School Nationals in Hamilton.  Marcus Sisam, Daniel Colgan recorded personal bests in all their races whilst Jake Stephens improved his PB’s in 6 of his 8 races.  Stand-put performances would have to be the two freestyle relays in which the Lindisfarne teams recorded very creditable 8th placings in the age group of 16 and over, despite two of the swimmers being only 15.  In the medley relay they were 11th.  Great results and congratulations to these swimmers competing at this very high level of competition.

Hawke's Bay Inter Intermediate Schools championships.  Most notable was the overall finish of the Year 7 boys who won the age group and the year 8 boys were third.  Overall Lindisfarne was the second best boys team at the event.  Standout performances came from Will Worthington-Thin who was placed in all 4 of his races, winning 2 of them, whilst Ben Ryan, Elliott Wickham were also placed in a number of races and won 2 and 1 races respectively.  The Year 7 boys of Elliott Wickham, Beck Allen, Ashton Taylor and Will Worthington-Thin were placed second in both the freestyle and medley relays.
