Our first day of term was a very special one as it was the first official day for our new Rector, Mr Stuart Hakeney. Matua Sidney along with our College Kapa Haka group lead a beautiful Pōwhiri to welcome Mr Hakeney and his family into our Lindisfarne community.
 

The event included guests from our wider community including Hastings Mayor, Sandra Hazlehurst, principals from nearby schools, affiliated groups and college council members. We were grateful to representatives from Hamilton Boys' High School, including Headmaster Susan Hassall, for making the journey down to be a part of the Pōwhiri and support Mr Hakeney. We are looking forward to getting to know Mr Hakeney and his family over this term.
