CYCLING
At the end of June Jason Yang and Tyler Harford represented our college in the Hawkes Bay Schools Cycling Road Race Championships run by the local Ramblers Cycling Club.
Jason Yang, who is very new to road racing, competed in the under twenty division and came second in the age group. He acquitted himself well on the challenging Ohiti road circuit as this is only Jason’s third race, newly taking up road cycling as his winter sport since he starting boarding at Lindisfarne this year.
Tyler Harford raced in the under 15 age division and was first local Hawkes Bay rider home in fourth place behind a trio of Palmerston North High School pupils.
