HB Secondary Schools Golf Tournament 2ndplace.
The team of Cosmo Graham, Charlie Dods , Max Devonshire and Jared Lines came second to NBHS with the three best gross scores totalling 249, four shots behind Napier BHS. Graham shot 81, Dods and Devonshire 84 and Lines 90. This was the closest Lindisfarne have come to winning this competition. The winning team competes in the national tournament in Cromwell.
CRICKET:
Bailey McDonald who was selected in the NZ Maori schools cricket team last week (present silver fern)
2nd XI had a loss vs Napier Old Boys Marist on Saturday. Napier won the toss an elected to bat scoring 219/7. Sam Cassidy (2-17 off 6) and Shea Bentley (2-20 off 6) were the best of the bowlers, with Steve Black, Finn McCabe and Param Pooni also picking up one wicket each. After the loss of an early wicket Sam Cassidy and Finn Calder put on a partnership of 76 for the second wicket, but with the run rate mounting and wickets falling regularly we could not get over the line, eventually being bowled out in the 38th over for 191. Lachlan Taylor top scored with an excellent 51 not out.

Intermediate school 1stXI had an exciting win against Taradale Intermediate. Lindisfarne batted first to post 91 with Jack Baker-Sherman 20 and Hugo till 19 amongst the runs. In reply Taradale were coasting but restricted by tight bowling and two great run out to finish 6 runs short of Lindisfarne. George Ladbrook took 3 wickets and Charlie Ross 2.
HORSE OF THE YEAR:
Tim Wilson- Placed 4th in the Junior Rider Qualifier and coped well in the final - one of only two boys in the top 30

HOA Gun at the Killwell Taupo 300 open shoot. Shot 299/300.
FUTSAL:
Results from Hawkes Bay futsal secondary school. Juniors finished an Impressive 3rd out of 10 beat HBHS 4-0 in the 3 v 4 th playoff. Seniors sadly finished 5th and missed out on the knock out football.
ORIENTEERING:
HB Orienteering Summer Series. Ronan, Braeden Kommeren , Cormac Turley and Hugo Till have been competing in a series of 4 sprint events over the past month culminating in the series final on Wednesday. Ronan and Braeden made it into the final of the open men. In the final there were the top 6 competitors and the winner was declared as the first to finish as all started together regardless of previous results.
Ronan placed 1st and Braeden 3rd.

Congratulations also to our 1stX1 who have won the central region competition and who are now one of just 6 schools in NZ who will play off for the Gillette Cup in December to see who is the best school in NZ cricket. It’s a fantastic achievement and while we will present medals to the boys next week I wanted to have us congratulate the boys today on their success.
