Head of Boarding 2026; Charlie Tizard

My name is Charlie Tizard, and I am honoured to be Head Of Boarding  for 2026. I have been a full boarder since I was 11 years old, coming from a rural community north of Wairoa. My primary school had a role of nine pupils so boarding at Lindisfarne was a massive change, but nothing except positive learnings have come from it. There are so many aspects of boarding at Lindisfarne that have made me a better man. The Hostel has a very rich ‘boys’ culture, with everyone sticking up for each other, but also keeping each other in line. The hostel is a great way to sharpen your focus by limiting distractions, along with providing so much support  which allows you to develop your full potential.

I have been strongly involved with the sports cornerstone of the College, especially rugby. Last year I was the captain of the 2nd XV and loved every minute on and off the field. Boarding has been another highlight of my time at Lindisfarne. The connections and memories I have made, along with the lessons I have learned are like no other. Frank, Beck and I are all making it our goal to ensure 2026 is an awesome year for the boys at the College.
