Head Boy 2026; Frank Gilligan

Serving as Head Prefect at Lindisfarne was something I never dreamed of five years ago and it is an absolute honor to be chosen for this role. Coming in to boarding as a Year 9 was a big change for me after being at a tiny primary school in Wellington. Initially it was a bit scary but after meeting the boys and the teaching staff, and making connections, I knew it was the place for me.

We have farmers, musicians, golfers, outstanding swimmers, talented debaters, international students, and outstanding academics. There is something in which everyone can thrive.  I’ve achieved academically, played in some fantastic teams, been in the College production, led chapels and even travelled to America on a student exchange, but most importantly I’ve made the best friends along the way. Becoming a good man and having good friends, are some of the most valuable things this school can offer its students.

Lindisfarne has been an awesome experience. The prefects before me have always been kind and inclusive, which has created an environment where I have felt valued and seen. My goal is to continue to build this environment, to encourage boys to support each other in tough times, and to celebrate our wins. I want everyone to feel like they belong here.
