Lovepreet Padda

Selected in 2022 in the Hawkes Bay Men’s Cricket Team that went on to win their North Island tournament, Lovepreet was further selected as non-travelling reserve for equally successful CD Under 19 Team in 2022.

An outstanding all-round cricketer, Lovepreet (who was first selected for the First XI as a Year 9 student) stood out in one of the College’s traditional interschool fixtures, vs Scots College Wellington in 2022. He scored 181 and 132 runs in consecutive innings in that match and took a 5-wicket haul with the ball in that same game.

Lovepreet currently sits as number two on the all-time batting record for runs scored at the College and has scored over 1200 runs in the current season alone. He has been the teams’ captain for the last two years and has received his college Sport “Colours” for cricket in each of the last 3 years.

As a footballer, Lovepreet has impressed in a very well performed First XI, in particular in this his final year. First selected for this team in Year 10, Lovepreet has battled with injuries but has crafted an impressive record over the last season and a half.
