Another full round of games this week.
Only one of our junior teams played last Wednesday with Junior White winning their game and viggo Pedersen scoring 48. Noah Balhorn was the best bowler on the day.
On Saturday our Intermediate School played Havelock Intermediate with Fergus Benefield top scoring and James Browne bowling well.
Our Colts A team batted first and made 143 for 8 in their 40 overs. Wenley 20, Huckle 22 and 27 by supersub Ralph Absolom, assisted by 38 extras were the main contributors. Napier BHS struggled against the off spin of James Huckle who had the remarkable figures of 6 for 8 off 7 overs to complete an excellent all round performance. He was supported by two slick stumpings by Patrick Ross as Napier were eventually dismissed for 84 to complete a 59 run win for the team.
Our Senior school teams all won on Saturday. The Development XI won a low scoring game against St John's College with Will Foster scoring 42 and Tom Speers scoring 37. The best bowler was Sam Chrystall with 3/11. The Senior XI amassed 270 in 30 overs with Connor Kimble scoring 87, Bugs Butler 61 and Cam Steele 50. The best bowler was Jacob Parbhu with 1 for 5 off six overes, and Patrick Tuifua took a great catch.

VOLLEYBALL
Last Wedneday night we had some good success across all of our teams.
Year 11 (Senior Red) team had a good match (against William Colenso) that meant the points were fairly even and they won overall – 1 set each
Year 12 (Senior B) team had a close competition against HNHS Senior B and they won 2-1 with points showing how close it was 73-61.
Year 13 (Senior A) team had a very close game against Flaxmere College. There were moments where we lost a bit of focus on the game, but it was great to see some good student leadership to turn the team attitude around and work together to figure out the way forward. We finished up with a win overall 2 sets to 1 and the points countback was 72 – 72. This match was definitely won in the last set and the last 3 minutes of the 60 minute game. A real effort in focus and concentration from all involved.
