The intermediate school enjoyed their winter sports exchange with Hutt International Boys' School (HIBS) recently. HIBS won the fixture with two wins and a draw.
The rugby was an entertaining game that went down to the wire, with HIBS winning narrowly 34 – 27. A big thank you to Mr Duncan Bruce and Mr Jason Kupa for coaching our rugby team.
The HIBS football team were too strong for Lindisfarne. After an excellent effort in the first twenty minutes where Lindisfarne was unlucky to score, HIBS put together some great moves and won six nil.
HIBS dominated the hockey game for the first half and managed one goal after taking lots of shots. We came back in the second half and played with determination, and scored an equalising goal. The last ten minutes was an enthralling end to end contest without any team managing to score a winner, and the match ended in a one-all draw.
Players of the day were:
Rugby - Harry Reed
Football - Titus Dunnett
Hockey - Max Allen
Thank you to HIBS for making the trip North and to our Lindisfarne families for hosting billets.
