Our College bands struck Gold at the Hawke's Bay Festival of the Bands recently. Nineteen concert, jazz and symphonic bands from around the North Island attended this year’s festival – the largest festival ever. The festival was adjudicated by Mr Mike Ashton from the NZ Airforce Band.

Lindisfarne Results:

Our Symphonic Band and Jazz Band received Gold awards for their performances. The following soloists received Golds: Quinn Le Lievre (Trombone), Leo Guo (Trombone). Soloists receiving Silver were Antoni Milewski (Clarinet), Josef Oosthuizen (Violin), William Duncan (Trumpet).

We would also like to thank the band students and parent helpers who worked tirelessly in the café, kitchen and auditorium. Lastly, thank you to Dr Flemming Kristensen (Director of Performing Arts & Music) and his team for all their efforts in organising such a great event for the region.
