This week Lindisfarne College hosted the Mexican Embassy from Wellington, Massey University, and the University of Auckland for México en vivo, un día de inmersión cultural. Over 200 students studying Spanish at local schools attended workshops ranging from salsa dancing, singing, conversational skills, history, geography, Mexican music, and mouth-watering Mexican cuisine. Lindisfarne catering staff outdid themselves yet again and provided a feast of enchiladas de pollo, frijoles, arroz blanco, pan, fruta, y ensalada verde. Even though Covid-19 has closed New Zealand borders we were extremely fortunate to have a little piece of Mexico come to Hawkes Bay.
