We are committed to providing a learning environment that allows each of our young men to be the best that they can be.
The programme has a strong focus on the academic outcomes of each student; we engage the best teaching staff, have specialised learning environments and an academic curriculum and co-curricular programmes designed to prepare our young men for the future.
The College recognises academic achievement with awards in Assemblies, Good Report morning teas, Rector's Citations, Centurion Awards, Honours Ties and the coveted Academic Colours. Competition for the award of the Dux of the College is fierce and inspires top students to strive for excellence in all they do.
Our Learning Enhancement programme provides a well-established system of support for all learners whether they require individual tutoring for specific learning needs or extension through our Gifted and Talented programme.
Seminars are available to support the learning of all students covering areas such as study skills and essay writing.
We recognise that the key to success, both within school and without, is for students to have a passion for subjects and interests that ultimately lead to a satisfying career where students reach their full potential.
Our Careers Advisor provides our Senior School students the necessary information and confidence to face a succession of options, decisions and career choices.
NCEA (National Certificate of Educational Achievement) is the national qualification for senior secondary school students in New Zealand.
Since the introduction of NCEA, the College has been very pleased with the performance of our students at all three NCEA Levels; their results have consistently placed Lindisfarne College as one of the top-performing boys-only schools in the country.
"Opportunities at Lindisfarne come thick and fast, and over the past five years I’ve learnt to make the most of them as they arrive. Lindisfarne has helped me to reach standards I couldn’t imagine reaching before I arrived, and my fellow boys and Prefects have been by my side every step of the way." Lachlan Taylor - 2020 Academic Prefect
