Steven Black Head of School
It is a privilege to be Head of School for 2019 - a role that I know will be challenging, but a the same time, will add to my overall character development at the College.
I joined Lindisfarne College from Hereworth School as a Year 9 student in weekly boarding. Over the years, like so many of my friends, I have taken advantage of the wonderful opportunities that the College has to offer.
I am proud to be part of the Prefect team of 2019, all of whom are not only a great bunch of boys to be with, but also suited to the roles in which they have been chosen. We are here to serve all the College community, to gain their respect through our actions - and, when we leave, we hope we leave a positive lasting impression on the boys who will come after us on what it means to be a Lindisfarne young man of character.
"I encourage each and every student to make your time at Lindisfarne yours, because that way, the success you achieve, and the time you spend here, will set you up for the rest of your life. The more you put into College life, the more you will get out. Don’t waste opportunities, own your time here. Strive for greatness and achieve more because only that way will you feel as if your time here was well spent."
Opening address at College Assembly.
