Lindisfarne College chamber musicians took part in ensemble coaching with professional pianist and chamber musician Emma Sayers in preparation for the Hawke’s Chamber Music Competition. Emma is travelling around the country of behalf of Chamber Music New Zealand, giving workshops and lessons to ensembles entering the competition. Members of our two piano trios gained invaluable knowledge during the two one hour sessions, learning how to rehearse together effectively, and how to make the music exciting and expressive. Well done to Leo Johnson, Josef Oosthuizen, Jaimil Ravla and Chris Proctor. We wish you all the best for the upcoming competition!
