ARTS AND CULTURE

Our cultural programme is designed to expose the boys to a rich tapestry of cultural activities where they are free to discover their hidden talents and interests in a boys-only environment.

All junior students study Music, Visual Arts, Technology, Languages and Oral Communication and many are inspired to explore further cultural possibilities and arts subjects in our extensive senior curriculum.

As part of daily College life our students are exposed to the many cultural activities on offer where they can contribute to and perform in Assemblies, Chapel Services, Interhouse Competitions, Haka, special performances and productions.

Performing Arts

The Performing Arts programme is well established and provides numerous opportunities for students to enjoy and share their many talents.

Our strengths are diverse, with a comprehensive range of bands including the training band for beginner musicians to the concert and gold award-winning Concord Symphonic band to pipes and drums.  We are equally represented in speech, drama and stage performances which grow in popularity each year.

Many other smaller ensembles are catered for and we proudly feature our Pipe Band on many occasions.

The College is well-resourced to support these endeavours with a purpose-built auditorium and specialist staff providing the launching pad for student success.
