Welcome to Lindisfarne College Gala webpage , as a parents we realise there is lot to take in, so want to provide you with a quick introduction to the Lindisfarne Gala as this is a key date for your diary early in the school year.
What is it?
The Lindisfarne Gala is the main fundraiser for the school for the year, the entire school is involved, and it’s a great way to contribute.
Why do we do it?
Organised by the Parents & Friends Association, funds raised go towards extras that enrich and enhance the boys experience at Lindisfarne. Recent examples include: air conditioning for the gym, all weather courts, mural by Flox, gym equipment, piupiu for Kapa Haka, instruments for the worship band, skeleton for biology and many more items.
The gala is also a great way to meet other parents and have some fun while contributing to the college.
How can you help?
The galas success relies on a terrific team of parents for the following:
On one of the many stalls i.e clothing stall, cakes, books, fruit & veges etc
- Sorting the items in the weeks leading up to the gala
- Setting up and dismantling tents etc
- Donations of items for silent auction
- Baking
