The Intermediate Department comprises boys in Years 7 and 8, and is the ideal stepping-stone to high school. In these important formative years, boys are taught good work habits, goal-setting and self-discipline skills, and focus strongly on developing the ‘habits of mind’ vital to later success in life. Boys enjoy small classes in modern, well-appointed ‘home-rooms’, as well as having access to all the specialist areas such as Science Laboratories and the sport and cultural facilities used by the older boys. Intermediate programmes are aligned with Lindisfarne’s secondary schemes to help provide a ‘seamless’ education from Years 7-13.
