Academic Excellence

  • Emphasising Excellence

A large proportion of the special character donation paid by the parents goes toward funding extra teaching staff so that class sizes are much smaller than those in state schools.

Classes that average between 18-22 students allow for greater assistance from experienced teaching staff. Students learn in an achievement based environment where the expectations of academic success are high. Each staff member works hard at creating a friendly, structured and caring atmosphere in which boys can attain their potential.

Lindisfarne boys' are pushed and challenged. They regularly get 1½–2 hours of homework each night. The personalised nature of our education systems means he will not be allowed to coast, but instead will be continually challenged to reach the highest possible standard of which he is capable.
