Academic Directory

  • Rector's introduction

The Lindisfarne College Academic Directory has been compiled as a source of information for the guidance of both boys and parents. The Directory will prove its value when students have to make vital academic and vocational decisions.

The staff have compiled a highly valuable and essential booklet that is designed to be a reference source when choices are being made.

The Directory is specifically aimed at the family so that rational discussion between parents and boys can be effective and positive, thus leading to the right decisions being taken after corporate family discussion based on the factual information found in the Directory.

At Lindisfarne, our educational philosophy is to provide a sound academic base, which, with motivation and clear instruction, will give your son a chance to reach his true potential and to further enhance his vocational alternatives.

In the last four decades Lindisfarne College has a proud record in national examinations, and that high standard must be maintained to make us competitive with other schools. With this in mind the information in this Academic Directory has been compiled to assist all boys in the choice of subjects. After having studied the Directory if further information is required, the individual members of the College Staff are always available.

Today an increased emphasis is placed on academic achievement leading to vocational opportunities therefore it is necessary to ensure that every avenue is explored so that the best choices are made.
