Boarding at Lindisfarne College, Hastings, New Zealand is a very positive experience. Students at the boarding school develop greater independence and maturity. Their organisational skills expand. They learn to manage their time, and perhaps most importantly, learn to live with others and support each other. At the very least, the boarding school students learn the very important skills of ‘networking’ with others and many of the friendships developed, last for life. The College offers day or weekly boarding for up to 240 boys, from Year 7-13. The Boarding House is split into Junior and Senior dorms. There is a Junior, Year 11 and Year 12/13 House Dean. A full time Matron and Boarding Administrator are also supported by six House Tutors, all of whom live on the campus. Each Dorm has a common room and prep (homework) is supervised each evening.
